I totally remember that Wiz movie, Andy. It was Fred Savage's brother who was a video game genius.
The octopus salad sounds a bit strange and gross with the crushing heads story but it is very good with the little (and not so recognizable) pieces of octopus. It is really common at tapas bars in Spain.
I can't believe you didn't once mention Guacamole. Even if it is common it's so good!
